The Central Board of Secondary Education has already updated the information brochure for JEE Main Examination on the JEE Main Official Website. The JEE Main Paper Based examination is scheduled on April 8, 2018 and the Computer Based examination would be scheduled on April 15 and 16, 2018. The Application Process for JEE Main would be beginning on December 1, 2017 and the application process would go on for a month. The candidates who appear in JEE Main and score the required cutoff would alone be allowed to appear for JEE Advanced Examination in the month of May next year.

The Important Dates associated with JEE Main 2018 are as follows:
Online Application Procedure: December 1, 2017
Last Date for applying online: January 1, 2018
Paper Based Examination: April 8, 2018
Date of Computer Based Examination: April 15 and 16, 2018
The Eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2018 are as follows:

The Candidate should have been born on or after October 1, in the year 1993.

Candidate should have appeared and qualified in Grade 12 examination in either 2016 or 2017 or should have appeared in Grade 12 examination in the year 2018.

The number of attempts in the JEE Main Examination has been restricted to 3.
The Central Board of Secondary Education has also made it mandatory that the candidates should be in possession of an Aadhaar Card in order to be able to apply for the JEE Main Examination. The candidates in possession of their Aadhaar Card should enter the required details in the JEE Main Application Form. Candidates not in possession of an Aadhaar number and wishing to appear in JEE Main in the year 2018 are required to enroll for the same at the earliest.
The candidates should also note that JEE Main Application procedure has been made completely online, along with filling the required details, the candidates are also required to upload their photograph and digital signature. The earlier provision of forwarding the hard copy of the JEE Main Application Form has been discarded with for good. The candidates are not required to send the hard copy of the JEE Main Application Form to the JEE Main Exam Secretariat.
The candidates can retain the hard copy of the application page for future correspondence with the JEE Main conducting authority. The candidates are advised to have their own and personal email id. The candidates should importantly take note of the email ID and mobile number that they have submitted at the time of application as all kind of communication addressed to them would be by means of the contacts provided.
