JEE Main and NEET UG Exams Expected To Be Held in June 2020, Says HRD Minister. Read to Know More!

JEE Main 2020 - The lockdown across the country has been extended till 3rd May 2020, until further notification, due to the outrageous spread of COVID-19, there are several entrance examinations along with CBSE Board and other state board examinations that have been postponed and will be conducted after the lockdown completely ends. The National Testing Agency (NTA), the conducting authority of JEE Main and NEET Exam postponed the exams due to Coronavirus outbreak. The notices posted on the official websites of JEE Main and NEET UG (Dated 14th April 2020) clearly state that the examination will now be conducted during the last week of May 2020.

As per the recent information received, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to postpone the examination and conduct it during the 2nd or 3rd week of June 2020. The examination was previously postponed due to the 21 days lockdown announced by the government.

JEE Main 2020

The announcement of postponement of JEE Main 2020 and NEET 2020 examinations until June 2020 was made by the minister of Human Resource Development (HRD), Ramesh Pokhriyal who confirmed the same in an interview. This confirmation by the minister of HRD has raised several questions of aspirants of JEE Main and NEET 2020 as to how long this procedure of conducting the examination might still take.

The impact of deadly Coronavirus has immensely affected the academic calendar of examination to be held during this time period which has resulted into the academic loss of students along with the education sector of the country.

What Can Students Do?

Since the examination date of NEET UG 2020 and JEE Main 2020 has not been finalized, aspirants of JEE Main and NEET Exam have now been granted extra time to prepare well for the examinations. Besides preparing for the examinations, the students must:

  • Visit the official website of JEE Main and NEET frequently to keep themselves updated of all the recent official notices posted.
  • Stay updated by watching regular news on television.
  • Maintain social distancing and keep themselves from going out of their homes.
  • Keep practicing previous years’ question papers of each subject asked during the examination as these are the most important resources of preparation in lesser time.
