JEE Main 2020 – As the exam date of the national level engineering entrance examination, JEE Main 2020 is approaching, aspirants of JEE Main must have made a list of dos and don’ts for the exam. We all are well aware of the fact that JEE Main 2020 Exam is all set to be conducted from 1st September 2020 to 6th September 2020 and students who have been preparing to appear in the examination must know the various exam day guidelines which they must follow in order to ensure maximum safety during this pandemic COVID-19 situation.

Important Guidelines for JEE Main 2020 Exam Day

Considering the pandemic COVID-19 outbreak and the national lockdown across the country, the examination conducting authorities have decided to release a few additional guidelines and precautionary measures for aspirants of JEE Main. Students are advised to follow these guidelines on the date of examination:

  • The officials have decided to take additional precautionary measures for the safety of students taking the exam, this will lead to consumption of more time in security checks and sanitization than usual, which is why the aspirants of JEE Main are advised to come at least an hour before the examination is scheduled to be conducted.
  • As per the Director of the National Testing Agency (NTA), Vineet Joshi, candidates will be allotted various slots even to arrive at the centers. Candidates must follow ass per these allotted slots and designated time to help authorities make the process smoother.
  • While entering the examination center, the candidates will be required to show their JEE Main 2020 Admit card. They must also bring one of their identity proofs to show at the time of entry along with their admit card.
  • The examination center does not allow carrying of any bags inside the examination hall.
  • Candidates would be requested to maintain social distancing.
  • They must take their designated seats right after entering the examination hall.
  • The candidates appearing in Paper 2 would only be allowed to take their geometry box, color pencils, and crayons. The authorities do not allow bringing of Watercolor in the hall.

Guidelines of Parents/ Guardians of Students

Most of the students come along with their parents or guardians and the authorities have specified a special set of guidelines for students’ parents/guardians too. These guidelines aren’t released yet, but we can have a look at some of the obvious ones:

  • They would be advised to not come to the examination center as this would only increase their chances of getting affected by COVID-19.
  • They can drop the candidates to the examination center and leave the premises immediately.
  • There will be barricades put at the examination centers to prevent guardians/parents from entering the examination center premises.
  • Overcrowding should not be allowed at the centers.
