JEE Main 2020 Notification Released by NTA. Here is What it Says!

National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the most awaited notification of Joint Entrance Examination Main 2020 (JEE Main) on 2nd August 2019. The notification consists of the schedule when the examination is supposed to be conducted. Aspirants willing to take JEE Main 2020 are advised to visit the official website of JEE Main i.e.

Qualifying the examination ensures admission to B. E., B. Tech, B. Arch, and B. Planning courses offered by different colleges or universities. JEE Main examination is being conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) since 2012 but from 2019 onward, the exam will be conducted by the NTA.

As per the recent information received at the end, the exam is planned to be conducted twice in the year 2020. Out of the two exams, one is scheduled to be conducted in the month of January 2020 and the second exam will be taking place in April 2020.

When to Apply for JEE Main 2020?

The candidates willing to take the examination may apply during the month of September 2019 and February 2020.

  • JEE Main Registration process for the exam being conducted in January 2020 is commenced to be conducted in the month of September 2019.
  • Those who are going to appear in exam in April 2020 must register themselves in the month of February 2020.

The application procedure must be completed online on the official website of JEE Main. The exact dates of exam and JEE Main Admit Card release will be disclosed on the online portal and the registration window will remain open for almost 1 month.

Declaration of result would be decided and declared post the exam is conducted in April 2020.

Highlights of JEE Main

  • Admission to NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs through Central Seat Allocation Board is done based on candidates' performance in JEE Main Examination.
  • Candidates must have secured at least 75% marks in aggregate in 12th class examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as main subjects.
  •  Candidates in top 20 percentile in class 12th examination are also eligible to apply for JEE Main 2020.
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST category are required to obtain at least 65% marks in 12th class.
