The awaited engineering entrance examination of the year JEE Main is announced by National Testing Agency (NTA) and as per data released by the concerned authority more than 9.5 lakh students are going to appear for the examination. Unlike last so many years this year, there is a major change in JEE Main Exam Pattern and is going to be conducted twice in a year by the newly established NTA.

Prakash Javadekar, the current Union Minister has recently reviewed the examination by visiting the NTA office located in Noida and further in his statement said that “9.5 Lakhs Candidates are appearing in this session”. Talking about NTA, the authority has recently completed its 8th session of NET Examination.
JEE Main 2019 is scheduled to start from January 9, 2019, will be conducted for 5 days. Giving more highlights on the security of the examination the authorities said that the computer-based examination will be under the surveillance of more than 8000 CCTV cameras installed in its all examination centers.
Mr. Javadekar after his meeting with NTA officials addressed the media and said that “this is the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to have better examinations, neatly conducted, flawless, transparent and user-friendly.” He further added that to conduct a fair and smooth examination more than 1200 experts are working towards setting the question paper as it's the key of any examination and it is important that each question should be discussed and approved by the panel.
The Union minister also said that to reduce the chances unfair means of examination more than 40, 000 jammers are being installed across the country for examination centers making it impossible for a candidate to cheat.
The Union Minister further added, “JEE main will be held twice in a year, precisely from 8 to 12 January and 8 to 12 April and NTA has established 4000 test practice centers in various colleges and more than one lakh students, predominantly from rural areas, participated in that.”
