A large group of students who are eagerly waiting for the commencement of JEE Advanced 2019 is being put in a state of worry after the recent announcement made by Election Commission of India (ECI). JEE Advanced Examination which is scheduled to be conducted on May 19, 2019, is going to clash with the dates of Lok Sabha Elections.

To avoid any conflict or issues in conducting the examination, IIT Roorkee may change the exam schedule. The detailed information will be available soon on jeeadv.ac.in.
The Election Commission of India announced the schedule for the Lok Sabha elections 2019, which would be conducted in 7 phases across India on April 11, April 18, April 23, April 29, May 6, May 12 and May 19, 2019. Considering the clash of dates, IIT Roorkee may change the date of the examination in order to avoid any problem for aspirants. The detail of change of dates will be made available soon on the official website jeeadv.ac.in, candidates are advised to keep track of JEE Advanced Important Dates for more information on the same.
The conducting authority has not released any official notification regarding the change in the date yet for the speculations making rounds among aspirants. However, as per the standard rule and past instances, the dates for JEE Advanced not changes usually in case there is a holiday on that day. This time the case is different as Lok Sabha Elections 2019 and State Assembly Elections in the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh is on the same date as the exam.
The students across the country are worried and eagerly waiting for the confirmation of exam dates. The officials have assured to come up with an alternative solution at earliest. This year approximately 2, 24,000 students are expected to appear for the examination after completion of the second phase of JEE Main in the month of April.
