JEE Advanced 2019: Registration Date extended for applicants of Odisha by HRD Ministry

There is a good news for the aspirants of JEE Advanced 2019 from Odisha as the Ministry has decided to extend the registration date by 5 days. It is important to note that the dates has already been extended for the candidates applying from Odisha, for the rest of the country the last registration date remains same.

Human Resource Development Ministry announced to extend the registration dates of JEE Advanced 2019 for the candidates of Odisha, for the other candidates the registration date is May 9, 2019.

As per the notification released yesterday by ministry of HRD, the deadline of registration extended for the applicants of Odisha till May 14 while for the applicants of other states the last date to complete JEE Advanced Application Procedure is May 9, 2019 by 5:00 PM.

Honorable Chief Minister of Odisha, Mr. Naveen Patnaik has requested earlier for extension of registration date of JEE Advanced observing the damage done by the recent drastic cyclone which hit the state. The HRD accepted the request and extend 5 days in the application procedure and also advised IIT Bhubaneswar to help aspirants of the state to fill the application form online as it has a fully functional internet at present.

Union Minister also tweeted in this matter which says:

“I am happy to announce that students from #Odisha appearing for #JEE (Advanced) 2019 will get an extension of 5 days till May 14 for their registration. A decision to this effect was taken following the request of #Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik @Naveen_Odisha."

He further added in the next tweet that-

"@IITBhubaneswar will help the #JEE (Advanced) aspirants in #Odisha for online registration as it has fully functional internet connection. As declared earlier #JEE (Advanced) for all students across the country will be held on May 27, 2019."

The state is severely affected by cyclone Fani and mobile networks has still not restored in a lot of places, considering that the government decided to extend the time period for application hopping not even a single student should suffer. JEE Advanced is scheduled to be conducted on May 27, 2019 across the country.
