JEE Advanced 2019: Over 2, 24,000 candidates supposed to appear for the examination

JEE Advanced 2019 is scheduled to be conducted on May 19, 2019, and it is estimated that around 2, 24,000 students will appear for the examination with just one dream to ensure an engineering seat in the IITs across the country. Candidates qualifying JEE Main 2019 with certain percentile will only be eligible to apply for JEE Advanced 2019.

This year after the introduction of National Testing Agency (NTA) Joint Engineering Entrance (JEE) Main is being conducted twice in a year. The first session of the examination is commenced across the country last and candidates who missed the chance or not satisfied with their performance still have one more chance to be back in the game. JEE Main 2019 Application procedure window for the next round of examination is open and candidates can apply before March 7, 2019.

JEE Advanced 2019 will be conducted on a fully computer-based test module across the major cities of the country. Cut off marks to be eligible for JEE Advanced will be declared after the completion of JEE Mains April Session. Candidate should note that JEE Mains Cutoff is a vital eligibility criterion of JEE Advanced to appear for the examination other than some other major eligibility criteria.

In general, the candidate applying for the examination must have scored 75 percent marks in the board examination of class 12. For candidates applying through the reserved category, there is a relaxation of 10 percent. Total marks scored in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics along with any other Language subject will also be considered while calculating the aggregate of the student.

One more important criteria to apply is that the candidate must be in the top 20 percentile in the board examination category wise.

IT Roorkee, the conducting authority of JEE Advanced 2019 has not released any official notification regarding change of eligibility criteria, syllabus or JEE Advanced Selection Procedure, candidates are advised to wait for the official notification to be updated of any changes that might take place in future.
