JEE Advanced 2019 date has been announced and is scheduled to be conducted on Sunday, May 19, 2019. This year IIT Roorkee will be conducting the national level engineering entrance examination under the guidance of Joint Admission Board (JAB). The entrance exam will be fully computer-based.

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will be releasing other relevant details regarding JEE Advanced 2019 on its official website soon. The authority also released certain rules and regulation related to the entrance examination and candidates have to strictly follow the same. As per the statements released by officials, candidates are not allowed to carry mobile phones, earphones, smart, digital or programmable watches, Bluetooth device, health band or any other electronic devices. Candidates are also not allowed to carry any log table, printed/blank paper. In order of violating these rules candidates will not be able to appear or take the exam.
JEE Advanced is the entrance exam that opens the gateway for the students seeking admission into IITs, ISM(now IIT) Dhanbad and other premier engineering institutes of India. For applying JEE Advanced it is mandatory for the candidates to appear in JEE Mains and qualify the same. The online registration process will start on the official website in the first week of May 2019 tentatively.
The exam mode has been changed to fully computer-based from the present year. Candidates appearing for JEE Advanced have to qualify both the papers which comprised of questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Talking about the year 2018, a total of 2, 31 024 students have qualified the entrance examination of JEE Main, however, only 1, 64, 822 students were registered for the JEE Advanced 2018. The entrance exam will be conducted across multiple exam centres of 155 cities across India and also examination centres spread across 6 cities abroad. Candidates can choose the examination centre depending on the zone they fall of convenient for them at the time of filling the JEE Advanced 2019 Registration Form. The zones are IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee and IIT Madras.
