This year a lot of changes took place in Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2019 and one such major change was introduction of Seats in Indian Institutes of Technologies (IITs) for the candidates belonging to Economically Weaker Section (EWS). From this year IITs will have 500 Seats reserved for EWS category.

Candidates, who have applied for the EWS quota to avail the reservation in IITs, are facing trouble in getting income certificate. MHRD assured the candidates of taking necessary action to resolve the issue at earliest.
This will be the first time candidates could apply under EWS Category. After the completion of JEE Advanced 2019 candidates are waiting for their results to be declared. Meanwhile the candidates who have applied under EWS category for admission in 23 IITs of the country are applying for the supporting documents of their EWS Category but they are not getting required support from the issuing authorities.
