JEE Main 2018 Results were declared on April 30. Nearly 2.31 Lakh Candidates qualified the examination to appear for JEE Advanced 2018 examination. The JEE Advanced Examination is scheduled to be conducted on May 20, 2018 and nearly 32 Percent of the qualified candidates will not appear for JEE Advanced 2018 examination. Out of total 2.31 Lakh Candidates, only 1.60 Lakh Aspirants registered themselves for JEE Advanced 2018.
According to a senior professor from Indian Institute of Technology- Bombay, “The number of students opting for JEE Advanced has fallen over the years.”
Experts believe that these days students also prefer to appear for Common Entrance Test conducted on State-level and attain a seat in an engineering college closer to their home rather than competing for IITs in another state.
