JEE Main 2020 - The outbreak of pandemic Coronavirus led to the shutdown of various universities and schools from 16th March 2020 and along with the shut down of colleges, several entrance examinations have been postponed or canceled until further notification. The center announced these shutdowns as a preventive measure to keep the virus from spreading amongst students and thus amongst the other citizens of the country. JEE Main is one such entrance examination that has been delayed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
JEE Main 2020 expected to be conducted during 2nd or 3rd week of June 2020.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) panel has suggested colleges and universities to start their session from September 2020 instead of July 2020. Besides, it has also recommended them to conduct their examinations online wherever possible.

The examination dates haven't been released yet and we are expecting the authorities to release JEE Main 2020 Exam Dates soon.

The academic sessions of the universities and other higher educational institutions were supposed to be started during the month of July 2020, but due to the current situation of COVID-19 the University Grants Commission has suggested these authorities to start with their session from the month of September 2020.
As of now, JEE Main 2020 and NEET 2020 entrance examinations are expected to be conducted during the 2nd or 3rd week of June 2020.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) constituted 2 committees in order to observe the issues of academic losses along with conducted online classes during the lockdown imposed by the government in the country due to the Coronavirus pandemic. One of these committees was initially led by the Vice-Chancellor of Haryana University, RC Kuhad. This committee was particularly organized to look into the ways through which the universities are conducting examinations during the lockdown.

The second committee formed by the commission was supervised by the Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Nageshwar Rao. This committee was formed to suggest colleges different and unique measures to improve the online education proposal.
These committees submitted their reports of observance on Friday last week and one of the sources said that one of the committees has advised to start with the academic sessions from September instead of July and the other says that universities can start conducting online examinations if they have all the means to get the examination concluded successfully.
The Human Resource and Development Ministry clarifies that the two reports submitted by the University Grants Commission will now be taken into consideration by the end of this week an official guideline in this regard is expected to be notified.
