IBPS PO 2017 New Exam Pattern!!

IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) which conducts the IBPS PO (Probationary Officer) exam every year has introduced some major changes in the IBSP PO 2017 Exam Pattern this year. Understanding the exam pattern is the first step of every competitive examination without which a vision to clear the exam cannot be made. 
 
IBPS has made changes in the IBPS PO Main exam while keeping the exam pattern of IBPS PO Prelims intact. Here are the changes introduced in the IBPS PO Main exam- 
 
  • IBPS has imposed a time limit for each section in IBPS PO Main 2017. Earlier, there was no sectional time limit in the IBSP PO Main exam. The sectional time limit will continue to be in process in the future conduct of the IBPS PO exam. The overall time limit for the IBPS PO exam is 3 hours + 30 minutes. The 30 minutes is reserved for the subjective part.
  • A major change has been introduced in the IBPS PO Main 2017 sections. The Computer Knowledge section has been merged with the Reasoning Ability section to form Reasoning & Computer Aptitude Section. Earlier, the Reasoning Ability section was of 50 marks and Computer Knowledge section was of 40 Marks. But now, the combined section constitutes 60 marks together.
  • The weightage of Data Analysis and Interpretation section has increased from 50 marks to 60 marks. The Quantitative Ability section will now be of great value to score good marks. The syllabus has not been changed in this section, but it is recommendable to the students to give considerable time to questions from Data Interpretation, Average, Percentage, Ratio Proportion.
  • An extra subjective paper of Letter Writing and Essay has been added to the IBPS PO Main 2017 exam. The candidates have to attempt the paper in English medium. This section will comprise of 25 marks.
 
IBPS PO 2017 dates have already been announced and IBPS PO Prelims 2017 exam is starting from 7th October and will end on 15th October 2017 and the IBPS PO Main exam 2017 is scheduled to be conducted on 26th November 2017.
