IBPS Clerk 2018: Prelims Result declared at ibps.in

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) which is responsible for conducting major banking selection exams of the country has recently conducted the IBPS Clerk Prelims 2018 examination. The result of the same has been declared on January 4, 2019, by IBPS on its official website ibps.in. The candidates who appeared for the examination can visit the official website to check their respective results. The candidate is advised to download IBPS Clerk Prelims 2018 Result for future purpose.
It is important to note that only result is declared as of now the score of the candidates will be released in coming days. Candidates who will qualify the preliminary examination will only be eligible to appear for the IBPS Clerk Mains examination which is scheduled to be conducted on January 20, 2019.
The CWE clerk VIII examination was conducted on December 8, 9 and December 15, 16 of the last month for filling the 7, 275 clerk vacancies in some of the major banks across the country. The result of the CWE clerk VIII examination is now available on the official website of the regulating authority.
Aspirants need to understand that the prelim examination is only halfway through, to be recruited for the post candidates must have to appear for the mains examination. Aspirants are suggested to download the result before January 11, 2018, as that is the last date to download IBPS clerk prelims 2018 result.
Looking for the trend of result declaration, last year the result was declared in the month of December followed by mains examination in the month of January. The IBPS Clerk Mains Admit card is scheduled to release by January 7, 2019. The provisional allotment of the banks to the candidates who will qualify the mains examination will be conducted in the month of April 2019.
How to download IBPS Clerk Prelims Result 2018?
Candidates who have taken the examination needs to keep their registration number and earlier created password handy to download the result. Follow the below mentioned steps:
- Candidate needs to login to the official website of IBPS i.e. ibps.in
- The homepage will have the link of “Result” on top of the page, which needs to be clicked for further steps.
- On the page appeared to fill the Registration number and Password in the required fields followed by the Captcha code.
- Click on the submit button to view the result.
- The result will appear on the screen with a download option and the same can be taken the print off for future purpose.
Candidates qualifying the prelim examination should focus on the IBPS Clerk Main Exam pattern which will consist of a total 190 questions carrying 200 marks and candidate will get a total of 160 minutes to complete the question paper. Candidate needs to be very sure for each answer as there is the provision of negative marking in the examination, for each incorrect answer 0.25 marks will be deducted from the total marks obtained by the candidate. So it is advised that it’s better to leave the question un-attempted rather than giving a wrong answer.
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) holds the major examinations like IBPS PO for recruitment of probationary officers and IBPS Clerk for recruiting clerks every year. The selected candidates are recruited on respective posts of Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) banks, SBI, Associate Banks of SBI, NABARD, SIDBI, RBI, LIC and Insurance companies and few Corporative Banks.
