JEE Main 2021 – The surge in COVID-19 cases across the country has led to postponement of several state board or entrance examinations. Thus, the postponement of JEE Main 2021 Exam by the National Testing Agency (NTA) was no wonder. The officials declared that the safety of students and examination functionaries is of utmost importance and they will announce the new and revised dates of JEE Main Exam (Phase 3, April session) very soon. They even assured students that the revised schedule of the exam at least 15 before the commencement of the examination.
JEE Main Admit Card 2021 for April session will be released after the commencement of examination dates.
The JEE Main Aspirants have been advised to practice full length and chapter wise mock tests available on NTA Abhyas App.
The NTA Abhyas App is one of the most favored apps for the students belonging to rural background as they can't afford expensive coaching. One of the former officials of the National Testing Agency and senior IIT Delhi faculty also explained that students can using this app can take free mock tests. They can even save these mock tests offline to save their data in order to assess their efficiency and accuracy. In the academic year 2021, there are almost 6 lakh students who have registered themselves for the exam for JEE Main April Session. Out of these 6 lakh students, there would be 65,000 students appearing for the exams for the first time. Majority of the students have understood how the exams are being conducted by appearing in February and March sessions. This must have boosted students' confidence.
This decision of NTA to conduct JEE Main Exam four time a year has help students improve and their better their performance in every passing examination.
NV Ramanna Rao, the director of NIT Warangal, says:
“Postponement of the exam could be a boon to students as it can improve upon their chances of getting into the IITs. On the flipside, the uncertainty may breed complacency and loss of concentration.”
Since there are various students who enroll themselves for IIT Coaching as early as in class 9th or 10th, delaying the examinations by a few months would hardly bring an impact.
At Kota, a hub of IIT Coaching which enrolls almost 35,000 to 40,000 students every year for IIT JEE Main Exam preparation focuses on making students taking as much mock tests as they could. Vinod Kumawat, the vice president and senior faculty of Physics pf ALLEN career institute says, “Around 80% of our students appeared in the February and March sessions with 9,000 students preparing for the April Exam.”
