The Rajasthan High Court has issued notice to Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) Consortium on Monday i.e. June 17,2019 over a petition filed regarding answer of an objective type question asked in the exam.

CLAT 2019 High Court

The result has been declared by the CLAT Consortium. Before the declaration of the result, the CLAT Consortium released the official answer key for the question paper. The official answer key contains the correct answers of the questions asked in the exam.

The petition has been filed by a CLAT candidate named Rochit Bakiwal over the correctness of the answer to the Question number 82 published in the CLAT 2019 official answer key on the CLAT website-clatconsortiumofnlu.ac.in

Question number 82 was as follows :

The Golden Peacock Award is given for the excellence in

(A) Corporate Social Responsibility

(B) Energy Savings

(C) Literature

(D) Corporate Governance

The petitioner claimed that for this question there were two right answers out of four options. But the examinee considered only one option as correct. That has made the petitioner go to the court.

In the official CLAT Answer Key, option D was given as correct answer. On the other hand, the petitioner marked option A as answer. The website of the ‘Golden Peacock Award' says that the award is given for both Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Governance. So, options A and D both are correct. That is why the petitioner had filed a plea before the court.

The next hearing on this case will on June 26, 2019.

The Vacation Bench of Justice Inderjeet Singh issued notice to the CLAT Consortium. Advocate Kinshuk Jain appeared for the petitioner.
