Candidates applying for GATE 2018 would be able to make changes in their examination center beginning from today until November 17, 2017. The option to make the required changes begins being active from today onwards. While this facility would only be available within a time duration of this week, only online requests shall be accepted. Offline Requests or Applications shall not be accepted. Candidates would be required to make an online payment of INR 400 towards the same.
In order to make the requisite changes, the candidate should log in to GOAPS. After logging in, candidates would be prompted to check and make changes in the examination center. Candidates also would be required to submit their new preferences from the drop-down menu. Once the new option is selected, the system prompts a candidate to make payment of fees. Candidates would be required to pay INR 400 irrespective of whichever category they may belong to.
GATE 2018 Examination is scheduled to be conducted in February 2018 by IIT Guwahati. Candidates desirous of applying for PSU Recruitment that would be based on GATE 2018 scores should keep a check on their notifications. All PSU Applications would begin from January 5, 2018, after the release of the GATE Admit Card. Applicants would also have to share GATE 2018 Registration Numbers (as mentioned on GATE Admit Card 2018) to be able to apply for vacancies.

The procedure to make changes in the GATE 2018 Exam are as follows:

Visit the Online Application Processing System.

The candidate can enter his registration number/email address or password in the space that is provided.

The Captcha code can be entered.

The candidate can log in to make the necessary changes.

Once the necessary changes are made, the candidate can click on the submit button.

Master/Director Programmes in Engineering/Technology/Architecture

Doctoral programmes in Science Branches in the institutes that are supported by MHRD and other Government agencies
Certain colleges and institutes which admit the student without MHRD Scholarship/assistantship would be considering the GATE qualification mandatory.
