By: R Chandrakala on Apr 22, 2023

GATE 2018 would be held in the month of February in the year 2018. With less than 90 days left, the time has come to invest in a serious preparation to crack GATE in the first attempt. The proposed study plan is mentioned as below:

Timetable for the initial 30 days

  1. As there are a few changes in the syllabus, the applicants are encouraged to check the whole syllabus completely on the official site
  2. The candidates should have the time to think about the material for the entire syllabus.
  3. The applicants are required to refer to previous years' GATE papers and see the weight every section has, and afterward they should start preparing for subjects that have a higher amount of weightage.
  4. Designate 2 - 3 hours every day to comprehend the ideas, makes short notes and be acquainted with the critical formulae in every point
  5. Assign 1 hour every day for Engineering Mathematics and General Ability as these 2 sections cover 30 questions for 1 mark each requiring more practice

GATE 2018

Timetable for the following 30 days

  1. Begin practicing test papers, previous years' papers and mock papers to get a better understanding of the sections.
  2. A mock test that is released by the GMAC has to be practiced for a better understanding.
  3. The candidates should pace up to complete section wise practice for all the essential topics at this point, as they may not   discover enough time to finish the subjects at a later timing.

Timetable throughout the previous 30 days

  1. Apportion 15-20 days for revision of the considerable number of topics. The short notes made before would exist to be exceptionally supportive at this stage
  2. In the light of the performance analysis of the mock tests given, the candidates can accordingly determine the right exam strategy. While a few undergraduates want to unravel the paper from the beginning to the end, other candidates would like to go through the whole paper and begin noting questions from the point of view of their strengths and weaknesses.
  3. The competitors ought not to begin start preparing for any new section that they might be left with and concentrate just on their strengths.
  4. The candidates should not stress over competition and keep themselves confident.
  5. A day prior to the GATE exam, quit thinking too much.
