GATE 2018: Final Answer Key to be released next week; Result to be declared soon

GATE 2018 Final Answer Key would be released by next week on 14 March 2018 by IIT Guwahati. The university had released the GATE 2018 Provisional Answer Keys last month on th 19th February 2018 and the representations were invited from 21st February to 23rd February 2018.

GATE 2018

Based on the objections that are raised by the candidates, IIT Guwahati would be releasing the Final Answer Keys dated 14th March 2018 after which no further objections shall be raised. The answer keys would be forming the basis of the GATE Result, scheduled to be released on 17th March 2018, as per the information mentioned on the official website.

The GATE Score card would be released on 20th March 2018, on the basis of which candidates would be applying for admissions to top engineering and technology institutions across the country and apply for jobs in Public Sector Undertakings.

GATE 2018 Scores would stay valid for a period of 3 years and candidates would be required to download the GATE 2018 Score Card from the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS).

GATE is a national level examination for admission to Post Graduate Courses in the space of engineering and technology. Candidates would be getting admitted into M.Tech/Ph.D programmes in IIT, IISERs and IISc through GATE Scores. Every year, GATE is organized by the seven zonal IITs and IISc on a rotational basis. Apart from granting admissions, GATE scores is also considered as one of the criteria for recruitment to Government and Private organizations working in technical fields.

GATE Cutoff Marks would decide the eligibility of the candidate for admissions in IITs and IISc. This factor decides whether candidates are qualified or not. GATE 2018 Cutoff varies across streams and categories. The cut-off marks for reserved vategory candidates are low for those candidates belonging to unreserved categories.

GATE Couseling would be conducted by IITs to determine admissions to PostGraduate Courses.
