In a remarkable decision taken by the HRD ministry, students appearing for the major entrance examination of the nation like JEE, NEET and UGC-NET will be provided free coaching from the next academic year. The decision must have distress ample number of private coaching institutes, however, students and parents welcome the decision.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) established by Govt. of India is a principally specialized autonomous organization responsible for conducting entrance examinations for selection and admission of students in the premier educational institutions of the nation. NTA in present scenario taken the decision that from next year its 2,697 test practice centers will serve as the teaching or coaching centers.
Students coming from a rural and financially not so sound backgrounds will be benefited by this decision, these practice centers cum coaching centers will come in existence from September 8 of this year, however teaching facility can be made available from the next year only. “The plan is to take these centers beyond just practice tests and turn them into teaching centers. They will not charge any fees and so will be especially helpful for talented students from sections where aspirations are high but private coaching is impossible due to financial constraints.” -stated an official of the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
As per the guidelines of NTA's practice test centers will go through below mentioned steps to be a fully functional coaching center:

Step 1: A mock test for JEE-Main is scheduled by NTA on January 2019 and aspirants can sit for the mock test.

Step 2: The result of the mock test will be declared in the specified time and students will be able to discuss and analyze their result with mentors assigned by NTA.

Step 3: The problem areas of individual students will be noted and once the coaching starts at these practice centers, the focus will be given on the concerned issues and also guidance will be provided to score well in the exams.
From September 1, NTA will provide a section in their mobile app as well as the official website for registering the slot at the test practice center, Candidate should note that the coaching will only be provided to the aspirants who will register for slots in advanced also to appear for the mock test registration is a must. “For the time being, the practice centers will allow candidates to take mock tests for JEE-Main only. As NEET-UG is not a computer-based test currently, there will be no mock test at the centers for the time being,” said the HRD ministry official.
