The number of people being infected from, now declared as Pandemic, Coronavirus is increasing rapidly and all the examinations across the country have been either postponed or cancelled. The exams include board exams, entrance exams, and recruitment procedures along with school and college exams. Coronavirus outbreak which has now become the biggest global affair is the reason for postponement of several upcoming examinations. The number of people being infected by COVID-19 has reached over 1000 and as a precautionary measure, the government has issued notice concerning cancelation and postpone of examinations scheduled to be conducted in near future.
Several safety measures have been taken by the government in order to prevent the spread of Coronavirus amongst people. One such and the biggest step taken is National Lockdown. The people aren't allowed to step out of their houses and are advised to isolate themselves from the outer world.
Keeping such situation under observation, a number of examinations have been either postponed or canceled. This article is to provide the list of exams postponed in India due to the spread of Coronavirus.

The government has decided to reassess the situation on 31st March 2020 and a new announcement is expected to be released on the very same day. It is understood that these orders by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) might make a lot of plans and strategies fall into inorganized well, it has now become mandatory for all to abide by the orders released by the officials. Social Distancing is one major technique to save oneself from getting affected by Coronavirus.
List of Examinations Postponed Due to Coronavirus
We understand the efforts it takes to prepare for an examination and the disappointment you face by not being able to take exam even after preparing for it incessantly. You would be advised to keep yourselves updated and not stop preparing for the examination.
Below is the list of examinations postponed due to Coronavirus Outbreak:
While NTA (National Testing Agency), the conducting body of JEE Main, concluded the first session of JEE Main 2020 successfully in the month of January 2020, it has become implausible for them to take JEE Main 2020 on its scheduled days in April 2020. The official notification stating the postponement of JEE Main 2020 Exam was released on 18th March 2020 on the official website of JEE Main. The examination was scheduled to be conducted on 5th, 7th, 9th, and 11th April 2020 which has now been postponed due to COVID-19.
The new and revised schedule is set to be released on 31st March 2020 and students willing to take the examination must keep a close watch on JEE Main official website i.e. jeemain.nta.nic.in in order to keep themselves updated about the upcoming notifications.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) released a notification on 18th March 2020 stating the delaying of class 10th and 12th board examinations due to the rapid spreading of Coronavirus. The exams that were scheduled to be conducted between 19th and 31st March 2020 have been postponed until further notice.
The revised schedule along with new dates of examination is all set to be released on 31st March 2020.
It would be no wonder if I say that ICSE and ISC board exams have also been postponed. The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE) has decided to postpone the class 10th and 12th board exams that were scheduled to be conducted between 19th March 2020 and 31st March 2020. Even this step was taken in accordance with the official notification released on 18th March.
Unlike others, the board has not disclosed the new and revised schedule date yet. We are expecting it to release the new schedule along with revised date any time soon now.
VITEEE is the engineering entrance examination that Vellore Institute of Technology conducts for admission to B. Tech and M. Tech programs offered by the institute. The institute has decided to postpone its entrance examination until further notice due to COVID-19 outbreak across the country. Apart from postponing the examination, the Vellore Institute of Technology has also extended the last date to apply for VITEEE 2020.
Students who have already applied for the examination would be advised to keep themselves updated by visiting the official website of VIT and those who wished to apply and for some reason could not do so can now register themselves before the registration procedure ends.

National Institute of Open Schooling
The National Institute of Open Schooling, which is also referred to as NIOS has, given the situation of COVID-19, has postponed the secondary and senior secondary examinations scheduled to be held before 31st March 2020.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) also plays a huge role as it has instructed all the colleges and universities to keep the campuses closed and postpone the exam (if any) until 31st March 2020.
