JEE Main 2021 – After the reduction in JEE Main Syllabus, there have been some changes introduced in JEE Main Exam Pattern. The changes have been introduced in order to ease the complications arose due to the reduction in JEE Main Syllabus. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and State Board brought changes in 12th class board syllabus by reducing the 30% of the total syllabus thus, causing reduction in JEE Main Syllabus. Now that JEE Main Exam 2021 is being conducted four times a year i.e. February, March, April, and May, candidates willing to appear in exams must understand the changes brought in JEE Main Pattern.
JEE Main 2021 is scheduled to be conducted from 23rd February 2021 to 26th February 2021.
Unlike the previous years, JEE Main 2021 will be conducted during four sessions this year. This has given JEE Main Aspirants an opportunity to prepare and perform well in the examinations. Students can appear in all the four sessions as per their convenience and the best score amongst these four sessions will be considered final.

What Are the Changes Introduced in JEE Main Exam Pattern?

The number of questions asked in the examination for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subject will now be 30 questions each.

All these three subjects will have two sections each wherein Section A will consist of 20 questions of Multiple Choice Type and Section B will consist of 10 Numerical value answer based questions.

Candidates are free to attempt any 5 questions in section B as per their convenience.

Last year, the total number of questions in B. E./B. Tech paper were reduced from 90 to 75. This has now been reversed in JEE Main 2021.

The number of questions to be attempted in each section will remain the same i.e. 25.
So, these were some of the changes introduced in JEE Main Exam Pattern for the year 2021. There is another major change brought by the examination conducting authority. JEE Main 2021 will be conducted across the country in 13 different languages.
Changes in JEE Main Exam 2021 Marking Scheme
There were various changes introduced in JEE Main Exam Pattern. These changes involved the types of questions asked in JEE Main Exam and the marking scheme of JEE Main. Candidates must notice that Paper 1 will be conducted through computer based mode with total marks of 300 including MCQs and Numerical value answer based type questions in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
