Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released one more important notification regarding upcoming Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). There is good news for the applicants as the last date to correct and edit the application form has been extended. Now candidates will be able to make corrections in the application form till April 7, 2019. Also, note that exam centres in the states of Bihar and Assam have also been increased from this year considering the number of applications received.

CTET 2019 is scheduled to be conducted in July. CBSE increased the number of examination centres and also there is an extension in application correction date till April 7.
Applicants who by chance has made an error or missed a piece of important information in the application form of CTET 2019 earlier can visit the official website ctet.nic.in and make the required changes in the application form before April 7, 2019 by 11:59 PM.
Steps of CTET Application Form Correction:
Candidates should note that CTET Application Procedure doesn't allow candidates to send a duplicate application, so candidates can only make changes in the existing application before the last date. Follow the below mentioned steps for correction in application form:
Step 1: Applicants needs to visit official website ctet.nic.in
Step 2: There is an active link mentioned as “Correction in Application Form for CTET July 2019” click on the same.
Step 3: Candidate has to log in on the page using credentials like application number, password and Security Pin.
Step 4: On successful login, candidates will be able to see the fields which allow corrections, make the necessary changes and Submit the application form.
Note: In case after submission of details and paying the application fee, if the confirmation page is not generated, candidates are advised to approach the Joint Secretary of CTET at CTET UNIT of CBSE.
The deadline for application correction was earlier expected to be closed by April 1, but as per the latest notice released by CBSE, the dates were extended along with the announcement of new exam centres in Assam and Bihar. The notice released by the authority reads that-“due to more number of applicants in Patna and Guwahati beyond the capacity of schools and colleges in these cities.”
The newly added exam centres are Dibrugarh, Guwahati, Jorhat and Silchar in Assam followed by Bhagalpur, Darbhanga, Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Patna and Vaishali in Bihar.
Because of the increased number of CTET Exam Centres, candidates now will be able to even change examination centres as per their convenient. CBSE has advised the candidates to use the application correction window and update a nearest examination centre for the examination.
