CTET 2019: Eligibility to Apply Revised and Last Date to Apply Extended Further

In a record making decision Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released an official notification earlier yesterday regarding revised CTET Eligibility Criteria and extension of the last date to apply for the examination. The decision was taken in accordance with the orders of the courts based on the amendment of eligibility criteria to apply for the examination.

After revised CTET Eligibility Criteria, CBSE decided to extend the last date to apply for CTET to March 14, 2019.

It is important to note that the issue is still under sub-judice of the court, the board notified on still accepting the applications from all the candidates who already have a B.Ed degree with graduation before the released NCTE principal notification on August 23, 2010. Considering the revised eligibility criteria of CTET 2019, CBSE decided to extend the date of CTET Application Procedure till March 14, 2019, which earlier was till March 12, 2019. Candidates can still visit the official website ctet.nic.in to apply.

The official notification released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) says-

“The application from all such candidates who have already passed their graduation with B. Ed. prior to release of NCTE Principal Notification dated August 23, 2018, regarding determination of minimum qualification of teachers to be appointed in school shall also be entertained by CBSE subject to final decision of Hon’ble Court(s).”

The candidate will be able to apply for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2019 July session till 23:59 hours of March 14, 2019.

Even after the change in the application date, the last date to pay the CTET Application Fee is still same and candidate needs to make the payment till March 15, 2019, by 5:30 PM. The window to verify the application form is open till March 19, 2019.

In case of any technical glitch and candidate is not getting their confirmation page, they can reach to the Joint Secretary of CTET, CBSE between 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM from March 25, 2019 to April 1, 2019 along with proof of payment made for application fee or copy of E-Challan if the payment was not made online. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on July 7, 2019.
