Board examination dates always seem to be closing fast than expected. A huge no of these students will also be giving the JEE Main which is also conducted by CBSE immediately after the board exam. Candidates aspiring to join the IIT's will further write JEE Advanced on May 21.
During this time of the examination, students usually get anxious and nervous on how to manage and balance their Class 12 boards and IIT-JEE preparation. Though the syllabus for both the exams is almost the same, JEE exams require in-depth clarity of fundamental concepts and its application.
Students are advised to complete their Class 12 syllabus in Nov/Dec. So, in the month of Jan/Feb, it's time to change gear and get to the next level of learning. A candidate has to understand their strengths and weaknesses, work on the filling their loopholes, work upon going and understanding the topics and their fundamentals in depth. Jee Requires a more in-depth study of the subject and topics are given then the board examination.
Few Important tricks to manage both the exams: -
-Prepare a topic wise plan which includes syllabus from both class 11 and 12 (class 11 also carries about 40 - 45% weightage)
-Don't miss relevant topics.
-Questions in JEE main are often information based so candidate might just have to memorise few important areas.
-Lab manuals can be helpful regarding Jee main exam as most of the questions are practical based
-NCERT books are very important fo both the examination as most of the topics are covered from these, and they provide a good in-depth understanding of the topic.
-Candidates should focus more on solving the mock Test as they will help you in understanding and assess your preparation in a far better way.
-Previous year papers should also be solved as they are repeated in most of the times especially in board exams
-Do not over stress yourself. Late night study must be avoided.
