The CMAT 2018 Examination was conducted on January 20, 2018 wherein about 70,000 candidates had appeared for the CMAT Exam from over 78 cities all over India. The exam was conducted in the following two slots -

Slot 1 - 9.30 AM to 12.30 AM
Slot 2 - 2.30 PM to 5.30 PM
The complete CMAT Analysis has been revealed on the basis of expert feedback provided by students. As per the CMAT Exam analysis, the CMAT Exam Pattern had remained unchanged. The overall test difficulty of CMAT was easy to moderate. Language Comprehension seemed to be the easiest section, while Quantitative Section was tough followed by Logical Reasoning.
The duration of CMAT 2018 was for a period of 3 years. Every question carries 4 marks and for every wrong answer 1 mark would be deducted.

The CMAT Section-wise analysis is explained as below
The Quantitative Section was known to be tough in both the morning and evening slots. Almost, all areas pertaining to the Quantitative Section were covered which are mentioned as below:

Simultaneous equation, Inequalities, Quadratic Equations - Algebra

Number Series and properties - Numbers

Time, Speed, Distance, Ratios and Averages - Arithemetic

Mensuration of figures - Geometry

Pie Chart - Data Interpretation
About 22-23 attempts in this section with a 90% accuracy in 55 minutes would be good to get a renowned seat in a Management School.
General Awareness
General Awareness had questions divided between static and current affairs. The overall difficulty of General Awareness section was moderate to tough as a lot of questions which had current affairs for the initial slot. The candidate who stays updated on events relating to General Awareness. About 13-15 questions can be attempted by the candidates to get a good score.
Logical Reasoning
The overall difficulty level of this section was on an easy or moderate level. Logical Reasoning question had focussed on puzzles, coding decoding, venn diagrams and family tree.
Language Comprehension
The Language Comprehension had questions from Reading Comprehension and English Usage section. The difficulty level was on an easy to moderate level. Three of the Reading Comprehension passages had only one or two paragraphs with three questions each.
