CLAT 2019: Registration begins at clat.ac.in, Apply before March 31

The CLAT Registration for the academic year 2019-2020 has commenced on the official website of CLAT. The candidates aspiring to appear for CLAT 2019 must visit the official website of CLAT at clat.ac.in or clatconsortiumofnlu.ac.in. CLAT examination is conducted for admission in Under Graduate and Post Graduate programmes in the field of Law. CLAT 2019 is scheduled to be conducted on May 12, 2019, and the last date to apply for the same is March 31, 2019

#2. CLAT Exam Pattern:

For Under Graduate Programmes

  • The time duration of the examination will be 2 hours.
  • The question paper will be for 200 marks and will carry 200 questions.
  • The candidate will be awarded 1-mark for each correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for exam incorrect answer.

For Post Graduate Programmes

  • The time duration of the examination will be 2 hours.
  • The question paper will carry 150 questions and the candidate will be awarded 1-mark for each correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for exam incorrect answer.

#3. CLAT Eligibility:

For Under Graduate Programme

  • The candidate must have passed class XII with a minimum of 45 percent aggregate from a recognized board.
  • A relaxation of 5 percent is provided to the candidates of the Reserved Category.
  • There is no upper age limit to appear for CLAT UG examination.

For Post Graduate Programme

  • The candidate must have completed graduation in law with a minimum of 50 percent aggregate.
  • A relaxation of 5 percent is provided to the candidates of the Reserved Category.

#4. How to apply for CLAT 2019?

Step 1: Visit the CLAT official website at clat.ac.in

Step 2: Register yourself by entering email ID and mobile number

Step 3: A provisional registration number and password will be generated

Step 4: The candidate will receive an email and SMS regarding the provisional registration number and password

Step 5: Login by using the generated registration and password and fill the application form

#5. List of Documents required for CLAT Registration:

The scanned copy of candidate’s passport size photograph and signature

  • Class XII Marksheet
  • Birth Certificate
  • Disability certificate for PH-category candidates
  • Category certificate for candidates of Reserved Category
  • Domicile Certificate under State Quota (if applicable)
