The surge in cases of COVID-19 has led to delay or postponement in many national or state level entrance examinations. These exams include National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test – Postgraduate (NEET PG 2021), Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) April Session (Phase 3), along with other various entrance examinations conducted at the university level. Several other state-level entrance examinations and board exams of class 10th and 12th have also been postponed until further notice. The revised and new schedule of these postponed entrance examinations haven't been announced yet by the authorities.
The revised schedule of these entrance examinations will only be announced after the analysis of the prevalent situation. Students will be advised to visit the official website to keep themselves updated of new official notification released. Here is the list of entrance examinations that have been postponed due to COVID-19.
The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET PG) – Postgraduate program has been postponed by the National Board of Examinations until further notice. NEET PG Admit Card have already been made live on the official website i.e. natboard.edu.in and nbe.edu.in.
The exam was previously scheduled to be conducted on 18th April 2021
The National Testing Agency being the conducting authority of JEE Main exam has postponed JEE Main 2021 Exam to be held in April. As per the official notification released on the official website of JEE Main, JEE Main Admit Card 2021 will be released at least 15 days before the commencement of the examination. The officials have advised students to keep visiting the official website of JEE Main to remain updated of any new notification.
The examination conducting authorities have also advised students to revise from NTA Abhyas App.
The exam was scheduled to be conducted from 27th April to 30th April 2021.
The surge in COVID-19 cases has led to postponement in AMU Entrance Exams as well. As cases in Uttar Pradesh stand 2nd in the list after Maharashtra, Aligarh Muslim University considered the situation and also decided to cancel the entrance examination. The first schedule for entrance examination will be notified in the due course of time. The university has also asked students to vacate the hostel and move to their home.
The exam was scheduled to be conducted from 20th June to 11th July 2021.
The Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test conducted for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate programs across colleges and institutions across the country has also been postponed by the examination conducting authorities.
The exam was scheduled to be conducted from 16th May to 15th June 2021.
The Banaras Hindu University commonly known as BHU has also postponed its research entrance test conducted for Law and Human Rights and Duties Education (HRDE).
The examination was scheduled to be conducted on 18th April 2021.
Jamia Milia Islamia (JMI) University has postponed its entrance examination conducted for admission to PhD program offered by the university.
The examination was scheduled to be conducted on 20th, 22nd, 24th, and 26th April 2021.
