Last day of registration for CTET 2018 has already been successfully completed on 27th August 2018 and last day for submission of registration fee was August 30, 2018, by 3:30 PM. After the registration process window is closed, the board is planning to publish the admit card in 2nd week of September on the official website ctet.nic.in.
As per the latest notifications released from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on the official website of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2018, the exam this year will be conducted on December 9, 2018. If a candidate wishes to make any changes in their submitted application form, it can be done in the window of 6 September to 15 September 2018.CTET 2018 is being held after a gap of 2 years, the last exam was held in the year 2016, in which a total of 9 Lakhs candidates appeared. The exam happening in December 2018 would be the 11th time that CBSE will be conducting a test to select the eligible candidate who can join schools run by Central Govt. like Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanghatan and NVS as teachers. The exam will be conducted in 92 cities across the nation.
In a social media platform, Union Minister of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, Prakash Javadekar has expressed that like last year even this year the exam will be conducted in 20 majorly used languages of India as directed by CBSE. CTET examination will be held in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bangla, Garo, Gujarati, Kanada, Khasi, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Mizo, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Tamil, Telugu, Tibetan & Urdu – he added further.
TET was started by Govt. of India in the year 2011 to recruit highly qualified teachers in its schools through a fair mean. Since then the exam is conducted twice every year for recruiting deserving candidates. The exam pattern for CTET 2018 examination is divided into two papers. Candidates looking to teach students from grade 1 to 5 (primary schools) needs to qualify Paper one. For candidates who wish to start teaching career with teaching students from grade 6 to 8 needs to qualify Paper 2. Both the papers need to be cleared in order for a candidate to be eligible to teach grades 1 to grade 8.
