Before the candidates begin, it becomes imperative to note that no single study plan can be too perfectly comprehensive to incorporate all aspects of doing well in the Common Admission Test. The following tips have been shared with the candidates to do well:
Focusing on Mock Tests
Almost all CAT Toppers has vouched for the importance of writing a mock test and assessing one's proficiency in writing the mock test before the CAT Examination. Mock Tests not only help a candidate get a better holistic vision but also help them get a better timing sense. Experts have felt that most of the times the errors are the account of the stress that the examination induces. Attempting mock tests help a candidate get familiar with the exam pattern and keep their stress levels normal.
Learning new tricks
Toppers have prohibited the learning the new tricks by candidates who are at this close to the examination. This time, it is best to focus on the concepts that have been learnt by the candidate. The same is propagated across by the experts who coach students for the examination. The candidates should keep revising the content that they learn on a regular basis instead of revising the same concepts over and over again.
Practicing Speed Reading
In order to crack the Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, the candidates should practice Speed Reading. The Section seems to be easy for candidates who appear for the examination. The candidates may lose a significant amount of time that they spend in understanding the questions. Candidates should manage to read 100 words and absorb its meaning within over a minute to have the ideal reading speed for the Common Admission Test.
Taking care of health
The candidates should ensure they take good care of their health. Candidates due to higher anxiety levels at the time of the examination cut out on regular eating and sleeping habits which might not prove good for their health and can land them in significant trouble.Candidates should ensure that they eat and sleep well which would keep their brain and reflexes fresh and energized at the time of doing the examination.
