Common Admission Test 2019 was conducted yesterday i.e. on 24th November 2019 and the number of applicants that applied for the examination this year was recorded to be 2,44,169 out of which 2,09,926 students appeared for CAT Exam. The exam was scheduled to be conducted in two sessions i.e. morning and noon. CAT 2019 Exam took place at 376 test centers in 156 cities across the country. The online testing partner, Prometric India Private Limited was given the responsibility to design the software for the computer-based test.
CAT 2019 Result is scheduled to be released in 2nd week of January 2019
Here, in this article, a brief analysis of CAT question paper is given which students who appeared in CAT 2019 could relate to. The question paper consists of 3 sections namely Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Ability.

CAT 2019 Exam – Question Paper Analysis
It is seen that the question paper of CAT 2019 Slot 1 was tough and during slot 2 the level of Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning was also tough. Another section named Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning was lengthy and required total awareness of tricks and tips to solve the questions.
The section of Quantitative Aptitude was moderately difficult. Students with complete knowledge of methods and formulae along with basic tricks could solve all the questions in given time.

The passage of Emperor Penguins consisted of four questions and the passages were easy to read and give time to each question.

Second passage named British Folk Music was a bit difficult to read and the questions were quite confusing.

Third passage was Aladdin which was easy to read, and the questions were based on a lot of inferences that could be derived from the passage.

The other two passages were related to Topophilia and Online shopping were of slightly higher difficulty level.

Overall, the section was moderately difficult. One could easily attempt 15-16 questions while achieving 85% accuracy.
