CAT 2018: Exam will be conducted on November 25

According to the latest notification issued by Indian Institute of Management (IIM), the Common Admission Test (CAT) is scheduled to be conducted on November 25, 2018. The detailed notification regarding CAT 2018 will be released in July or August 2018.

The notification also states that the Indian Institute of Management reserves the right to change the date of examination under certain circumstances. But, unless a change is announced by the examination conducting authority, students shall consider November 25 as the examination date. The detailed notification providing the other important information about CAT 2018 is expected to be released in the month of July or August.

For the previous year, the CAT Notification was released in the month of July. The notification will also provide information about which IIM will be conducting examination for the academic year 2018. Last year the Common Admission Test (CAT) was conducted by Indian Institute of Management – Lucknow.

About CAT:

Common Admission Test is a yearly entrance examination conducted for admissions to top management institutes across India. The CAT Score is accepted not only by the Indian Institutes of Management but also by other top B-Schools such as Faculty of Management Studies, SP Jain Institute of Management and Research etc.

Here are some Facts about CAT 2018:

The Online Registration for the academic year 2018 may start in the month of August. Last year the registration started on August 9.
The candidate is required to mention Four cities of their preference while registration. After the registration process completes, the candidate will be allotted one city among the 4 preferred ones.
The eligibility criteria are different for all the IIMs and they follow different selection procedures.
Education Qualification- The candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized University. A relaxation of 5% will be provided to candidates of Reserved Category i.e. Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Person with Disability (PwD).
