BCECE 2019: Admissions in engineering colleges of Bihar through JEE Main

Bihar Combined Entrance Examination Board (BCECB) has declared that for the upcoming academic session, admission in all the government engineering colleges will be done through combined online portal.
After scrapping the BCECE examination from this year, the board has asked Department of science and Technology, Bihar to provide the list of candidates who qualified JEE Main in both January and April Sessions. The department has assured to provide the list soon after verifying from National Testing Agency (NTA).
BCECB is expected to release the list of qualified candidates from JEE Main 2019, who are eligible to apply for admission in colleges accepting BCECE scores and now JEE Main Score.
Aspirants should note that from this year onwards admission in all the government as well as private colleges offering engineering courses in Bihar will be done through JEE Main Scores of the candidate. As per the board the admission process with online enrollment will start with the release of list and the schedule is expected to be issued this week. The date of filling the online admission form will be released only for the candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria of minimum qualifying marks. The counselling date has not released yet, after the enrollment candidate will be allowed to fill the preferred choice of college and branch.
The admission will be done for 38 engineering colleges in the state. The total number available seat including all the colleges is nine thousand one hundred twenty seats. There will be 240 seats in each college. This year BCECB has decided to include new colleges in the list and a result enrollment will also be taken in 19 new engineering colleges. To assist candidates with admission process Help desk will be made for nomination. BCECE’s OSD Anil Sinha said that“the list has been sought from the department to list candidates for JEE Main qualifying. After getting the list, the application for counseling will be filled. All the processes will be online.”
