By: Archana on February 26, 2019

Indian Institute of Management (IIM Ahmedabad) one of the top business school of the country came forward to help students who missed the deadline to appear for CAT 2018 and can't take GMAT either. The institute is accepting the last five-year valid score of GRE for admission in its e-mode Post Graduate Programme (ePGP) for the academic year 2019-21 and onwards.

The announcement was made in a recent press release made by IIM Ahmedabad, which mentioned;

"The candidates who have missed the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2018 deadline can also appear in GMAT / GRE until March 31, 2019 to be eligible for 2019-21 batch application."

How to apply for the course?

Until the announcement made, admission in the mentioned course was taken on basis of other management entrance examinations of the country. The necessary changes that will come after the introduction of GRE Score based admissions are still to be cleared by the institute. Earlier Admission in IIM Ahmedabad ePGP courses was done in various modes as mentioned below:

Candidate should have a valid score in CAT, and the examination should be taken within the last 3 consecutive years. For admission in the current academic year CAT score of 2016, 2017 and 2018 will be considered.

For candidates applying through GMAT score, the limit is last consecutive 5 years, which means candidates appeared for GMAT from January 1, 2014, to December 31, 2018, are eligible to apply for the course.

Having a valid GMAT/CAT/GRE score is not enough; candidates also have to take IIMA Admission Test (IAT).

Candidates will be shortlisted on basis of total score obtained in CAT/GMAT/GRE and IAT.

The final candidates will be invited for next round of personal interview at either IIM Ahmedabad campus or in centers established in other cities as decided by the Institute.
