AIIMS Result 2018: A Detailed Analysis

The AIIMS 2018 Result has been declared by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi on June 18, 2018. The Institute has also released the First Merit List according to the Roll Number and Ranks of the candidates respectively. The candidates who qualified the examination according to the First Merit List will be eligible to participate in the First Round of Counselling.
AIIMS 2018 Result Analysis:
This year, a total number of 4,52,931 candidates registered for AIIMS 2018 examination which was conducted on May 26 and May 27, 2018, in two shifts. Nearly 3.74 candidates appeared for the examination. Out of which, 7,617 candidates qualified the examination. The qualified number of candidates include 2,705 female and 4,912 male. In the year 2017, a total number of 4,905 candidates qualified the examination.

This year Four Candidates scored 100 Percentile and the top 3 position is bagged by female candidates. This is for the first time when the first 3 positions are obtained by the female candidates. The top 100 positions are achieved by the candidates of 43 cities from 20 States and Union Territories.

Eliza Bansal from Lehragaga, Sangrur district in Punjab, bagged the top position. She completed her schooling from Dr. Devraj DAV Public School. The 17-year-old girl scored 100 Percentile in Biology and Physics, 99.94 Percentile in Chemistry and 97.87 Percentile in General Knowledge.
Ramneek Kaur of Bhatinda has bagged the second position in the examination. She aims to pursue specialization in Neurology from AIIMS, New Delhi.
The AIIMS 2018 Counselling schedule has yet not been announced by the AIIMS, New Delhi. The counselling from the current year will be conducted online except the open round of counselling.
