AIIMS Application Procedure begins from today

The official notification for AIIMS has been released. The AIIMS Application Procedure would be conducted in an online mode. Candidates shall be selected through an entrance examination that would be conducted in the month of May 2018. Through AIIMS MBBS Entrance examination, candidates would be permitted to apply for MBBS Program at AIIMS New Delhi and eight others such as Patna, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Jodhpur, Raipur, Rishikesh, Guntur and Nagpur. The online link for applying for AIIMS shall be activated on February 5, 2018.

The Important Dates relating to the same are as follows:

  • Commencement of Application: February 5, 2018
  • Last Date for Applying: March 5, 2018
  • Date of Examination: May 26 and 27, 2018
  • Eligibility Criteria: Candidates passing/appearing/appeared in Grade 12 examination with equivalent subjects of English, Chemistry, Physics and Biology with 60% (50% for SC/ST/OPH) candidates in aggregation, who can apply for AIIMS Examination.

The link for the application form shall be updated on the AIIMS Official website. The AIIMS Application Form portal would open from today onwards and be open until March 5, 2018. 

The AIIMS application procedure would be consisting of the following six steps:

  1. Registration
  2. Application Fee Payment
  3. Exam Center Selection
  4. Filling of Academic and Communication Details
  5. Uploading Scanned Documents
  6. Confirmation Page Printout

Only the registered candidates for AIIMS MBBS would be able to attempt the entrance examination which is slated to be conducted on May 26 and May 27, 2018. 

Prior to filling the AIIMS Application Form, candidates should keep the following documents handy:

  1. Photograph: A color sized passport photo, with a white background. The image should not be blurred and be taken in the recent. The image titled should be"Photograph". File Size: 50-100KB, File Format: JPG/JPEG/GIF/PNG, File Dimension: 3.5*4.5
  2. Signature: The Signature should have been on a white background. The impression is required to be clear and should be saved titled "Left Hand Thumb Impression".File Size: 50-100KB, File Format: JPG/JPEG/GIF/PNG, File Dimension: 4*3

The AIIMS Application Form shall have to be filled and submitted by March 5. The information mentioned on the AIIMS Application Form has to be valid and as per the documents that are in the possession of the candidates. 

The AIIMS Application Fee details are as follows:

General: INR 1000+ Transaction charges

OBC (Creamy and Non-Creamy): INR 1000 + Transaction charges

SC : INR 800 + Transaction charges

ST : INR 800 + Transaction charges

OPH : Exempted from Application Fee Payment
