ACPC Asked Students and Parents Not To Fall for the Admission Trap by Paying Huge Admission Fee

Admission Committee for Professional Course (ACPC) has recently addressed the media and made an announcement that PIN distribution for the engineering colleges will be conducted from May 20, 2019 to June 4, 2019.

This year, the total number of available seats in the engineering course is 60, 937 distributed within 114 colleges of Gujrat. From the total number of Seats available, ACPC will held the admission rights on 75 percent of the seats in 108 colleges and 50 percent seats in other 6 engineering institutes. The remaining seats will be filled by the management quota.

Mr. GP Vadodaria who is the member Secretary of ACPC has mentioned that the quantum of seats do not include 10 percent quota allotted for candidates of Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). The decision is pending as the state government is still trying to figure out the formula to include the students who applied in an open category with annual family income of Rs. 8 lakh and less.

The concerned officials took the opportunity to announce that by June 5 the state government will reveal the increased seats as per 10% EWS so that candidate can choose the college before June 11.

Mr. Vadodaria further added that

“Duration of online admission process is very crucial and students must know the total number of seats available is much more than the total number of candidates seeking admission in engineering courses. Students and parents must not fall in the trap of paying huge admission fee to get admission in engineering colleges.”

He also advised students and parents to not submit the original documents to any college and I scenarios one is asked to do so, he or she may visit the nearby help centres set by ACPC, Students should also avoid visiting cyber café to fill the online application form.
