NDA 2020 Selection Procedure

NDA Exam Selection Procedure is easy to understand. Every NDA aspirant must know all the requisite details of the NDA Selection Procedure to drive the direction of preparation in the right direction. 

The NDA (I) Selection Procedure involves the following steps-

  • NDA (I) Registration Form 2018
  • NDA (I) Written Exam 2018
  • NDA (I) SSB Interview 2018
  • NDA (I) SSB Medicals 2018
  • NDA (I) Merit List 2018

Here are the details of the NDA exam selection procedure-

1) NDA (I) Registration Form 2018:
 
UPSC will release the NDA (I) Notification 2018 in January 2018. Soon after the release of the NDA Notification the NDA (I) Registration Form 2018 will be available at upsconline.nic.in from 10th January 2018. The window of the NDA application form will be open for one month and in February, the NDA registrations will be closed. 
 
2) NDA (I) Written Exam 2018:
 
UPSC has scheduled to conduct the NDA & NA Examination (I) 2018 on 22nd April 2018. The NDA written exam is a one day process and comprises of 5 hours duration. 
 
3) NDA (I) SSB Interview 2018:
 
The selected candidates of the NDA (I) written exam have to register to the official website of the Army, Navy and Airforce for the SSB Interview process. The candidates then will be called up by the Service Selection Board and the SSB Interviews will be conducted for 5 days. 75% of the called up candidates will be screened out the very first day of the SSB. The SSB Board will recommend the desired candidates at the end of the 5 days process. 
 
4) NDA (I) SSB Medicals 2018:
 
Soon after the recommendation of the candidates from the SSB Board, the candidates will undergo Medical Checkup. The Medical Board may consider the candidate Fit, Temporarily Unfit or Permanently Unfit. The candidates who fall under the category of Temporarily unfit can claim to the Medical Board and can re-appear later for the medical checkup after getting completely fit. 
 
5) NDA (I) Merit List 2018:
 
UPSC will announce the NDA Final merit list of the candidates who are selected for the National Defence Academy as per the availability of the seats. The NDA Merit List will be formed by combining the marks of the NDA Written Test and NDA SSB marks.
