It is a matter of pride for any university to get an honor for hosting the president or the prime minister of the country, but LPU is the only organization which has not hosted only the president but has welcomed all the first three citizens of the country. LPU has hosted Honourable Former President Shri Pranab Mukherjee who visited the campus twice and he is also ‘honoris causa' doctorate recipient of LPU. Second citizen of the country, Honourable Vice President Shri Venkaiah Naidu has invited to chair the grand occasion Convocation and latest is our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi who inaugurated 106th Indian Science Congress. This talks about how prestigious Lovely Professional University is as the entire first three citizens accepted its invitation to be a part of LPU. This also makes LPU as the only university in the country to host all the first three citizens of the country.
In a very short span of time, LPU has created a niche for itself to attract the best minds from across the globe. A vibrant campus lifestyle, great placements, futuristic laboratories, one of the world's best sports complex and top-notch, highly trained teaching faculties is what you find at LPU. Moreover this year LPU organized the world's biggest science event Indian Science Congress which was inaugurated by our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He addressed the event by stating the scientific fraternity to develop simple and affordable technologies that can connect with the common man to increase ease of living. Recalling two former PMs for their joint slogan “Jai Jawan, Jai Kissan, Jai Vigyan” given to the country, Shri Narendra Modi laid utmost importance to research in the country by further adding to it “Jai Anusndhan”. He stressed that the pursuit of science can be fulfilled through the generation of profound and disruptive knowledge, and then use of that for socio-economic good.
Given the excellence in academic that LPU has been maintaining since its inception, the university has appointed a placement committee for every domain to make sure to stay updated with the latest market trends and to ensure the placing of students in top companies. LPU witness more than 450 companies visiting campus every year, where more than 90% are MNCs. LPU students are persistently being placed at the top-notch companies like Google, Amazon, Qatar Airways, Apple Inc., Microsoft, etc. Notably, over the last three years, Cognizant alone has recruited 1900+ students from the campus. India's top talent company “Aspiring Minds” has ranked the University as having the most employable students consecutively twice in a row.
All in all, LPU provides the best exposure to the students and has raised its admiration after becoming the only university where the country's first three citizens visited.
