As per the IIFT 2019 Exam pattern, the marking system was differential and for every incorrect answer, the candidate will be penalized with negative marking of 1/3rd marks from the total marks assigned for that particular question.

IIFT 2017 Vs IIFT 2018:

Candidates who have appeared for IIFT 2018 examination declared it as one of the toughest question paper in last so many years, the year 2018 was no different. Considering the difficulty level the IIFT 2019 was lengthier and abundantly tricky. The number of passages increased from 4 passage per question paper to 5 passages this year, and students found it very tedious and time taking to read the comprehensions. The students got no extra time for the increased passage and the number of questions remained the same as 114. Overall the IIFT 2019 question paper had a high difficulty level.

IIFT 2019 section wise analysis:

  • For each incorrect answer in VA section, the candidate will lose 0.75 marks instead of 1 marks like the previous year.
  • For Each correct answer in DI, the candidate will get 1 mark, not 0.75.
  • For the segment of General Knowledge, the difficulty level was moderate.
  • The RC passage was the most lengthy section of the question paper.
  • In the quant section, most of the questions were from arithmetic, geometry and algebra section which was quite moderate.
