The IIFT Selection procedure is held for those candidates who have successfully cleared with the desired cutoff in the Delhi and Kolkata campus. The IIFT Selection procedure would be commencing in the month of January/February once the candidates appear for the IIFT Examination and the results are declared. Once the IIFT Result is declared the candidates would be shortlisted as per the IIFT Cutoff.IIFT Selection procedure would be conducted for students aspirants wishing to pursue International Business at IIFT Delhi or Kolkata campus.

The stages of the IIFT Selection procedure are as follows:

Written Test: The candidates would be called for a written test as decided by the institute.

Essay Writing: Candidates would be asked to write an essay or answer comprehensions as per the ability of the candidate to see his command over the language usage and grammar.

Group Discussion: Candidates who get shortlisted can appear for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates verbal communication would be assesed and his motivation for pursuing MBA would be questioned.
The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade admits students as per the cutoff that they have scored. Candidates belonging to reserved categories such as General, OBC,SC,ST and PH would also be selected. Both campuses seek to offer at least 450 seats to a huge number of 40,000 students.
The IIFT Entrance examination would be held in an offline mode acros 20 exam centers all over India. The question booklet would be containing 124 questions in the Multiple Choice Format and candidates would be given a total of 2 hour duration to complete the examination.
After the examination is done the candidate would be required to participate in the Pre-admission rounds such as Writing Skill assessment, Group Discussion and Personal Interview where the presentation skills, language and attitude of the candidate would be put to a test. The IIFT Result would be based on the performance of the candidate in all of these rounds.
The IIFT Result list which would be releasing in the month of December would be releasing the list of candidates who would be selected for Pre-admission rounds. Candidates would be required to reach the venue mentioned for the pre-admission rounds on time to be able to give the same. One is required to keep a copy of completed CV for future reference.
