IES 2018 Selection Procedure is based on the performance of all the three stages. The candidate who clears all the three stages will be selected as IES. The candidate who clears the first stage (Pre Exam) will be proceeding to the second stage which is the Mains Exam. After clearing both the stages a final merit list will be released on the basis of IES cut off. The candidate who clears the cut off will proceed to the final stage which is a Personality Test.
The following three stages are:
- Preliminary Examination
- Mains Examination
- Personality Test
Based on the performance of Personality Test, UPSC decides a cut-off and a merit list is released by UPSC. The candidates, who clear the cut-off, are selected as Engineers by UPSC. The Pay scale of the selected candidates is given as below:
IES Officer Pay Scale - Rs 15,600 (Basic) +Rs 5,400 (Grade Pay) + DA + HRA
