IBPS PO Selection Procedure 2019 is fair and rational in approach. IBPS conducts the exam into three phases for which the candidate has to follow the given selection procedure-
 
 
This is the first step to the process of IBPS recruitment. IBPS releases the notification of IBPS PO around two months before the exam, the candidates have to Online register for IBPS PO at its official website. 
 
IBPS PO Prelims Exam 2019:
 
IBPS Prelims exam date is stated in the IBPS notification. The candidate has to give Prelims exam after near to two months from the release of the IBPS PO notification. 
 
IBPS PO Prelims Result 2019:
 
The candidates can check the result of IBPS PO result within 15 days from the conduction of the exam. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their score in the preliminary exam for the main examination. The selected candidates of the prelims exam on the basis of their scores will be allowed to sit in the next phase.
 
IBPS PO Mains 2019:
 
IBPS PO Main exam is conducted after one month from the Prelims exam.  Apart from the topics of Prelims like Quantitative Aptitude, Logical reasoning and English language, two more topics are included in the paper i.e. General Awareness and Computer Knowledge that the IBPS aspirant has to prepare for IBPS POA subject paper has also been added to the IBPS PO Main exam from the year 2019 which will comprise of Letter Writing and Essay only in the English Language.
 
IBPS PO Mains result 2019:
 
The result of Mains exam will be declared within one month from the conduction of the Mains exam. The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the scores of the candidates in the mains exam. The shortlisted candidates will be eligible to attend the final Interview stage. The call letters of the interview are generally released within one month from the announcement of the results. 
 
IBPS PO Interview 2019:
 
IBPS start to conduct the interviews of the candidates on after 15 days from the release of the call letter. 

 

The final selection will be based on the candidate's score in the main exam and the personal interview in an 80:20 ratio respectively. The final merit will be prepared by scoring the candidate out of 100. The students can check the details of the final merit list and provisional allotment of services.

IBPS PO Selection Procedure:

  • Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their score in the preliminary exam for the main examination. On the basis of their score in the main exam, candidates will then again be shortlisted for the personal interview session.
  • The final selection will be based on the candidate's score in the main exam and the personal interview in an 80:20 ratio respectively. The final merit will be prepared by scoring the candidate out of 100.

      The stages involved are as follows:

  • Online preliminary exam:  Candidates would have to appear for the written exam conducted by IBPS.Marked for 100, there would be three sections- English, Quant, and Reasoning.
  • Online Main Examination: The candidates who qualify the initial round, would be appearing for the main exam. It would have 4 sections -English, Quant/DI, Reasoning & Computer Ability and General/Banking Knowledge. A subjective paper comprising of Letter Writing and Essay.
  • Interview: Candidates who have been shortlisted would be subsequently called for an interview conducted by participating organizations coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/UT with the support of IBPS.

Provisional Allotment:

  • On completion of the interview, depending on the count of vacancies needed to be filled, candidates would be selected on the basis of merit and preference.
  • If two or more candidates have the same score, date of birth would be given preference.
  • Provisional allotment does not amount to an offer of employment. In case, at any stage during the procedure, if it comes to notice that the candidate has not fulfilled the eligibility criteria, his candidature shall stand forfeited.
  • Issuance of the appointment letter and other documents is completely at the discretion of the participating organizations and they shall be final and binding.
  • This is the cadre on an all India basis, therefore selected candidates may be posted anywhere in and around India.

IBPS SO (Specialist Officer) Selection procedure:

The stages in the selection procedure are as follows:

  • Online registration procedure
  • Online examination
  • Interview
  • Provisional allotment
  • Identity verifying and allotment on a final basis.

Online registration: Candidates should register one time. Once they register, they would receive provisional login credentials. They must also upload the image and signature in the form. The payment of the fees can be made in an online mode.

Online exam: Candidates would be issued an admit card at this stage once they fill the application form.  The exam would be conducted online and on qualifying the exam, they would be eligible to go through to the next stage. The exam is for 200 marks.

Interview: Candidates qualifying the exam would be eligible for the personal interview.  The procedure would be conducted by IBPS officials and participating organizations.  The interview call letters would be sent to those who qualify for the exam. The allotted marks are 100. A minimum of 40%(35% for SC/ST) has to be scored to qualify for the next round.

Provisional Allotment: once the interview is done, all the candidates would be shortlisted in accordance with the count of vacancies and provisional allotments would be made accordingly.

Verification of identity: Candidates must carry a valid ID proof. The identity would be verified in the initial and also at the time of final allotment. It would be the last step of the selection procedure.

Final Allotment: The allotment letter would be sent to the candidates along with their joining dates.
