- Don't lose sleep. A sound sleep of minimum 7 hours is necessary for the brain to function to its maximum
Reasoning:
- Good subject to score
- General section and less time-consuming
- Topics worth your time: Making series, number series, coding/decoding, logical reasoning, passage, comprehension reasoning.
- Ensure you have adequate study material to make you competent in this section.
- Concentrate on and devote about 5-7 hours a day. You must be clear with formulae concepts and tables.
- Consistent practice would help you ace this section.
- Have a pre-determined time limit for this section.
General Awareness:
- Be familiar with the updates relating to Banking and Finance sector.
- Current affairs spanning across last 6 months concerning Indian economy, Awards, RBI, Indian Constitution, Agriculture
Language:
- Choose your language section well(English/Hindi). Be perfect with that particular section to do well.
- The questions would be drafted in the following format: Fill in the blanks, Reading Comprehension, Phrases, and idioms, Finding errors, prepositions, Rearranging sentences.
Quantitative:
- This section is known to be very time-consuming.
- You are expected to have good knowledge and the knack to interpret data from tables, pie charts, and other graphical formats.
- You must have a pre-determined idea of what portion of this section can be easily attempted by you.
- Possible topics are: Data intrepretation, Series and sequences, number system, ratio, proportion, Simplification, percentages and averages.
Computer:
Computer Basics, Operating system, Internet knowledge and protocols, Network basics, Input, and Output. This will be required for the Mains exam.
Professional Knowledge:
Professional Knowledge is only for the Specialist officer post. The positions include IT Officer, Agriculture Officer, Law Officer, Marketing Officer etc.
