AILET 2020 Syllabus

AILET 2016 will mainly comprise of these sections- English, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, and Elementary Mathematics and Numerical Ability. Section wise detailed syllabus for AILET 2016 is as follows: 

English – There will be a total of  35 questions in this section. The questions will comprise of reading comprehension passages, synonyms, antonyms, idioms and phrases, para- jumbles, vocabulary,  fill-in the blanks, etc. This section will test the candidates language skill and vocabulary. 

General Knowledge – The 35 questions of this section will cover the topics such as History, Geography, General Science, Economics, Civics and Current Affairs of the past one year. Candidates should be well aware of national and international news, especially political and business affairs. 

Elementary Mathematics and Numerical Ability – This section will consist of only 10 questions. The Mathematics questions will be set from 10th and 12th level, of various topics including Profit and Loss, Speed and Distance, Time and Work, Algebra, Average, Permutation and Combination and Venn Diagrams.

Legal Aptitude – The section tests the student's interest towards study of law, research aptitude and problem- solving ability. The questions will be framed on legal propositions and set of facts satisfying the propositions.

Logical Reasoning – This section tests a student's logical and analytical reasoning skills. There will be 35 questions in this section.

AILET 2020 Exam Pattern

AILET 2017 is an objective type, pen- paper based test. The total time duration of the test is 1 hour 30 minutes and the total number of questions is 150.The following sections are covered in the exam:
