About Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute:
Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute is an engineering college which was established in the year 1887 and is located in Mumbai. The main goal of the university is to achieve global leadership in the field of technology and develop such a human resource which will serve society. It is one of Asia’s oldest engineering schools. According to NIRF 2022, the institute is ranked 84 in the engineering category.
The college offers a variety of undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral programmes. Admission to programes is dependent on entrance tests such the MHT CET, GATE, and UGC NET. Admissions are handled separately by the Directorate of Technical Education and five additional independent institutions in Maharashtra. CAPAI rounds (Centralised Process to Autonomous Institutes) are what these are known as.
The university provides more than 50 courses for graduation, post- graduation and research programs on streams majorly covering engineering, Information technology, and software. Major streams which are covered are- civil engineering, computer engineering, electronics and telecommunication engineering, textile engineering, mechanical engineering, and production engineering.
Technical courses are offered by VJTI Mumbai for UG, PG, Diploma, and Ph.D. levels. It provides B.Tech. degrees in nine specializations at the undergraduate level. The college provides M.Tech in nine specializations and MCA as post-graduate options. All of the VJTI courses are included in the following table, along with their specializations, eligibility requirements, and selection standards:

VJTI Mumbai Admission:
Admission in VJTI Mumbai to most of the programs is entrance based through a predetermined process conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra. Candidates have to register themselves for the Centralised admission process (CAP) which is also controlled by DTE, Maharashtra. The eligible candidates have to go through the Common Entrance Test (CET). Admission to the college is based on the merit secured in CET.
How to Apply?
Candidates must go to [http://cetcell.mahacet.org] to the official website to register for the appropriate specialisation.
For a successful registration, candidates must complete all needed fields and submit all necessary paperwork.
After paying the application fee, print and download the CET bank challan.
All qualified applicants will receive an admit card including complete information regarding the entrance exam.
VJTI will publish a merit list for every subject following the CET. Students who meet the criteria for admission must visit the college with the required documentation.
