Except for the Ph.D. program, admission to the programs offered at Swami Vivekananda University Barrackpore is based on qualifying examination results.
Candidates must pass one of the UGC National Eligibility Test (NET), State Eligibility Test (SET), or SVU Research Eligibility Test (RET) to be admitted to the Ph.D. program. These tests are followed by an interview process.Â
Aspiring candidates have two options for applying: they can fill out an online form or visit the university directly.

Online ModeÂ
- Visit the official website of Swami Vivekananda University (SVU) @swamivivekanandauniversity.ac.in/
- Candidates have to fill in the login credentials like name, email address, course and specialization.
- Open the admission portal and fill in all the required details as mentioned.
- Submit the required documents and application form fee through online payment modes.
- After verifying all the details, click on Submit. Download the form for further purposes.
- Candidates have to physically appear with a duly filled form copy at the date provided by the university with all the necessary documents.Â
