JNU Admission 2024 is highly competitive, and the university follows a rigorous selection process. The JNU admission process for most courses starts after the declaration of the CUET result. Furthermore, the selection is based on the candidates' performance in the CUET entrance examination.
JNU promotes higher education and hence is offering financial support to the students at the graduate, postgraduate, and researcher levels with fellowship and scholarship facilities. The university takes an entrance exam every year in May, which takes place in the different branches of Kendriya Vidyalaya across India. The exam takes place for 4 days of 3-4 hour sessions every day, which is 70% written examination and 30% viva voce.
The university offers separate seats for OBC/SC/ST and other backward classes, women, Kashmiri migrants, widows/wards of defense personnel killed, disabled in action, etc. as regulated by the norms of Govt. of India. Separate seats are reserved for every category possibly existing and scholarship advantages are given based on the category in all subjects.
JNU Application Process:
Admissions to JNU are based on the qualifying scores in the entrance exam. Candidates must first register and appear for CUET. After CUET, candidates have to register on the JNU Admission Portal.

Jawaharlal Nehru University accepts CUET-UG cutoff for courses B.A. (Hons), B.Sc, and Certificate of Proficiency. For PG courses including M.A, MPH, M.Sc, and MCA, the university accepts CUET-PG cutoff to offer admissions to interested students. Apart from this, a total of 21 students were placed out of 353 students while 332 students were selected for higher studies during JNU UG 3-year placements in 2022.

JNU offers full-time Ph.D. programs in 20 specializations through different departments. Eligibility for the research program at JNU is a master's degree in the relevant field from a recognized university.
