Haldia Institute of Technology (HIT) is an Institute of ICARE, Haldia and is the 1st private educational institute of West Bengal which is approved of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal (WBUT). The institute was established in the year 1996 to cater to the needs of technical education in the state. The institute foundation was made in Haldia, which is an industrial hub of developing industries in the Eastern part of India. The college has also been accredited by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) with grade ’A’ and CGPA 3.31/4.
Haldia Institute of Technology has been ranked under 201-250 rank bank of NIRF Ranking 2021 in the category of engineering colleges.

| MCA | Candidate who qualify eligibility as given below can also apply: Module 4 Candidate must have obtained a BSc Honours degree under (10+2+3) pattern in any discipline from a UGC recognized University/Institute with a minimum of 60% marks in Aggregate (45% marks for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates) along with at least 55% marks in Mathematics. They must secure at least 60% marks in Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent level from recognized Boards with at least 60% marks in Mathematics at each level. Everything I Like About This College
Placement: The placement process that the college conducts is commendable. Students are given extra classes in order to improve their analytical, logical, technical, and soft skills.
College: The infrastructure of the college is good. Actually, better than many colleges out there. What I liked the most about this college is that the labs here are well equipped with the latest technology, WiFi facilities are available, clean college premises, sports facilities are good, and it also provides its students with all the medical facilities possible. There is hardly anything which I do not like about my college. I, being a hosteler, didn’t like the food prepared in mess. It could have been better but the authorities didn’t seem interested in improving it.
Exam: NCERT Books of class 12th and 11th came in handy while preparing for the exam. Students can also go for JEE Main Preparation books.
