GMERS Medical College and Hospital commenced its establishment in the academic year of 2012. The college is situated in Sola, in the state of Ahmedabad (Gujarat). It was established under the aegis of Gujarat Medical Education and Research Society. The college has been recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India and affiliated to Gujarat University.
The college offers MBBS program at the undergraduate level.
The foundation stone of the college was laid in the year 2010 and the first batch of 150 students was provided with admission in the year 2012. The college is also attached to the General Hospital, Gandhinagar which is a 650 bedded, academic teaching hospital.
GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar is spread over an area of 42 acres in the central Gandhinagar and is nearly 1 km away from the Gandhinagar Railway Station. The college is affiliated to Gujarat University and offers Under Graduate in the field of medicines and science. Admissions in Under Graduate courses are provided on the basis of NEET entrance examination which is conducted by the National Testing Agency in the month of May every year.Â
